Trinity were back on their permanent home soil, Hinde House School, for their second match in the SDFPL Division Four. Buoyed by their victory last weekend Trinity were looking to make history again by attempting to win their first two competitive fixtures of the season and they did just that. George Barbers bullet header from Kitching right hand side cross put Trinity ahead. Thorpe’s silky skills made it two when he cut back on himself to slot past the goalkeeper. Zion got one back late on in the second half to make it a grandstand finish.

Iain Atkins: “We picked up from where we left it last week. This has been a fantastic start to the season for us and, as I said last week, we must continue to keep the momentum and going out at other teams. Again this week we have had a squad of 19 players, not everyone has got into the sixteen. This is a great problem for me to have and provides that competition for places that keeps the players on their toes. Everyone will be involved in the sixteen across the season as things iron themselves out and players get injured or are unavailable for selection. Blakey has been the only one who hasn’t been involved across either of the two matches but he will be part of the sixteen over the coming weeks and will get his chance on the pitch.”
